Bedford North Lawrence Stars (Bedford, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Columbus North Bull Dogs (Columbus, IN), 17-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Stars now own a 7-9 record. They take the field next when they host Mitchell for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 22. Bedford North Lawrence will face a Bluejackets squad coming off a 19-9 non-league win over Austin (Austin, IN). The Bluejackets record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, Columbus North falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Bull dogs travel to Center Grove (Greenwood, IN) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 20.
