In Monday's non-league game, the host Apache Junction Prospectors baseball team scored a close 9-8 victory over the ALA - Ironwood Warriors.

The Prospectors (4-12) will now prepare for their game against Valley Christian (Chandler, AZ). The Trojans enter the 3A Central game with a 16-4 record. In their last game, Valley Christian held off Yuma Catholic (Yuma, AZ), 3-2, in a non-league game.

Next, the Warriors face the Benjamin Franklin Chargers (Queen Creek, AZ) in a 3A Metro game, on Wednesday, April 22. ALA - Ironwood will attempt to improve on its 5-15 season record. The Chargers enter the game with a 14-6 record after their 6-0 league win over Gilbert Christian (Gilbert, AZ).
