Virginia High School Softball - Staunton River bounces Fleming
April 21, 2023: Moneta, VA 24121 Spectators at Friday's league match between the Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA) and the visiting Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA), witnessed Staunton River's softball squad prevail over Fleming by a count of 20-0.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 11-2 record. They play next when they host William Byrd for a Blue Ridge match on Saturday, April 22. Staunton River will meet a Terriers squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Northside (Roanoke, VA). The Terriers record now stands at 3-10.
With the loss, Fleming moves to 0-10 on the season. The Colonels travel to Glass (Lynchburg, VA) to meet the Hilltoppers in a non-league match on Monday, April 24. The Hilltoppers go into the match with a record of 1-4.
