The crowd at Friday's league match between the Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) and the host Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC), saw Piedmont's softball squad achieve victory over Sun Valley by a count of 11-2.

The Panthers now sport a 11-8 record. They take the field next when they host Cuthbertson for a Southern Carolina 4A match on Monday, April 24. Piedmont will face a Cavaliers squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Weddington (Matthews, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 10-10.

With the loss, Sun Valley falls to 5-9 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC) to face the Cavaliers in a Southern Carolina 4A match on Tuesday, April 25. The Cavaliers enter the match with a record of 10-10.
