Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC), 13-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now sport a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Piedmont for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 2. Porter Ridge will face a Panthers squad coming off a 19-18 league loss to Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 12-9.

With the loss, Sun Valley falls to 6-11 on the campaign.
