Kentucky High School Softball - Montgomery County bounces Bourbon County
April 21, 2026: Mt. Sterling, KY 40353 The Montgomery County Indians softball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Bourbon County Colonels to 5 in the Indians league win on Tuesday.
The Indians now sport a 13-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host George Rogers Clark for a District 40 battle on Thursday, April 23. Montgomery County will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 23-0 league win over Paris (Paris, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 18-2.
With the loss, Bourbon County moves to 1-12 on the season. The Colonels host Harrison County (Cynthiana, KY) to confront the Thorobreds/Fillies in a non-league battle on Thursday, April 23. The Thorobreds/Fillies come into the battle with a record of 24-4. Harrison County won 13-0 in their recent non-league battle against Mason County (Maysville, KY)
