East Central Trojans (St. Leon, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting South Dearborn Knights (Aurora, IN), 16-6 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hamilton Southeastern for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 24. East Central will battle a Royals squad coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Lawrence North (Indianapolis, IN). The Royals record now stands at 5-7.

With the loss, South Dearborn falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Knights host Batesville (Batesville, IN) to battle the Bulldogs in a Eastern Indiana challenge on Friday, April 23. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 6-3. Batesville won 15-13 in their recent league challenge against Lawrenceburg (Lawrenceburg, IN)
