In Friday's league challenge, the host Tri-Valley Vikings softball squad scored a tight 8-6 win over the LeRoy Panthers.

The Vikings now own a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to El Paso-Gridley for a Heart of Illinois challenge on Monday, April 25. Tri-Valley will battle a Titans squad coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Midland (Varna, IL). The Titans record now stands at 3-9.

With the loss, LeRoy falls to 13-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Dwight (Dwight, IL) to battle the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 23. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 4-5. Dwight lost 4-0 in their recent league challenge against Woodland (Streator, IL)
