The Marvin Ridge Mavericks lacrosse squad (Waxhaw, NC), was overwhelmed 13-7 in Monday's league contest with the host Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC)

Coming up next, the Warriors confront the Parkwood Wolf Pack (Monroe, NC) in a Southern Carolina/Rocky River contest, on Thursday, April 25. Weddington will attempt to advance on its 15-1 season record. The Wolf Pack enter the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 12-4 non-league win over Butler (Matthews, NC).

The Mavericks (12-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC). The Pirates enter the Southern Carolina/Rocky River challenge with a 3-12 record. In their last challenge, Porter Ridge was overwhelmed by Sun Valley (Monroe, NC), 12-7, in a league challenge.
