The Midland Trail Patriots softball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Sherman Tide to 1 in the Patriots non-league win on Tuesday.

The Patriots now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Greenbrier West for a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 23. Midland Trail will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV). The Cavaliers record now stands at 9-5.

With the loss, Sherman moves to 10-6 on the season. The Tide host Man (Man, WV) to confront the Hillbillies in a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 23. The Hillbillies come into the battle with a record of 0-4. Man lost 16-0 in their recent league battle against Tug Valley (Williamson, WV)
