Massachusetts High School Softball - Swampscott succumbs to Salem

In Wednesday's league test, the Salem Witches (Salem, MA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Swampscott Big Blue (Swampscott, MA), by a tally of 17-6.

Next, the Witches clash with the Winthrop Vikings (Winthrop, MA) in a Northeast- Lynch test, on Friday, April 24. Salem will attempt to advance on its 1-5 season record. The Vikings go into the test with a 4-6 record after their 6-0 league loss to Gloucester (Gloucester, MA).

The Big Blue (0-5) will now prepare for their test against Whittier RVT (Haverhill, MA). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Whittier RVT was routed by Greater Lawrence Tech (Andover, MA), 14-2, in a league test.
