The Dixon Bulldogs baseball team (Holly Ridge, NC), was overwhelmed 6-2 in Thursday's league outing with the host Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC)

The Cougars now hold a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bunn for a non-league outing on Friday, April 26. Croatan will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 8-3 league win over Roanoke Rapids (Roanoke Rapids, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 14-6.

Next, the Bulldogs confront the West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) in a Coastal 3A outing, on Tuesday, April 30. Dixon will attempt to advance on its 8-13 season record. The Patriots go into the outing with a 7-12 record after their 3-2 league loss to Swansboro (Swansboro, NC).
