South Carolina High School Softball - Union County bounces Emerald
April 26, 2022: Union, SC 29379 Union County Yellowjackets (Union, SC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Emerald Vikings (Greenwood, SC), 19-0 in a league challenge.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clinton for a AAA Region 3 challenge on Wednesday, April 27. Union County will face a Red Devils squad coming off a 16-6 league loss to Woodruff (Woodruff, SC). The Red Devils record now stands at 2-7.
With the loss, Emerald falls to 2-12 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Greenwood (Greenwood, SC) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 28. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 10-4. Greenwood lost 7-0 in their recent non-league challenge against North Augusta (North Augusta, SC)
