Spectators at Friday's league battle between the Palo Alto Vikings (Palo Alto, CA) and the host Homestead Mustangs (Cupertino, CA), saw Palo Alto's baseball squad knock off Homestead by a count of 6-2.

Coming up next, the Vikings play the Mountain View Spartans (Mountain View, CA) in a De Anza battle, on Wednesday, May 1. Palo Alto will attempt to move on its 12-11 season record. The Spartans enter the battle with a 11-11 record after their 8-6 non-league loss to Santa Clara (Santa Clara, CA).
