New Jersey High School Softball - Westfield holds off Brearley
April 26, 2024: Kenilworth, NJ 07003 The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Westfield Blue Devils (Westfield, NJ) and the host Brearley Bears (Kenilworth, NJ), saw Westfield's softball squad nip Brearley by a count of 5-3.
The Blue Devils now sport a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Hunterdon for a non-league match on Saturday, April 27. Westfield will face a Lions squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Pope John XXIII (Sparta, NJ). The Lions record now stands at 8-5.
With the loss, Brearley falls to 7-7 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Kent Place (Summit, NJ) to face the Dragons in a non-league match on Saturday, April 27. The Dragons enter the match with a record of 2-6. Kent Place lost 14-8 in their recent non-league match against Union Catholic (Scotch Plains, NJ)
