New Jersey High School Softball - Westfield bounces Elizabeth
April 17, 2024: Elizabeth, NJ 07202 Westfield Blue Devils (Westfield, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Elizabeth Minutemen (Elizabeth, NJ), 8-3 in a league challenge.
The Blue Devils now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Union for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 19. Westfield will battle a Farmers squad coming off a 11-4 non-league win over West Orange (West Orange, NJ). The Farmers record now stands at 2-5.
With the loss, Elizabeth falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Minutemen host Brearley (Kenilworth, NJ) to battle the Bears in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 19. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Brearley won 9-1 in their recent league challenge against Scotch Plains-Fanwood (Scotch Plains, NJ)
