Illinois High School Softball - DuQuoin bounces Benton
April 27, 2022: Benton, IL 62812 Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the DuQuoin Indians (DuQuoin, IL) and the host Benton Rangers (Benton, IL), witnessed DuQuoin's softball squad tip Benton by a count of 6-2.
The Indians now sport a 11-11 record. They play next when they travel to Anna-Jonesboro for a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Mississippi match on Friday, April 29. DuQuoin will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 9-3 non-league win over Herrin (Herrin, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 13-9.
With the loss, Benton moves to 7-13 on the season. The Rangers host Nashville (Nashville, IL) to face the Hornets in a non-league match on Thursday, April 28. The Hornets go into the match with a record of 10-12. Nashville lost 17-7 in their recent non-league match against Belleville West (Belleville, IL)
