Virginia High School Baseball - Grassfield defeats Nansemond River
April 27, 2023: Chesapeake, VA 23323 Spectators at Thursday's league battle between the Grassfield Grizzlies (Chesapeake, VA) and the visiting Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA), saw Grassfield's baseball squad knock off Nansemond River by a count of 8-0.
Coming up next, the Grizzlies play the King's Fork Bulldogs (Suffolk, VA) in a Southeastern battle, on Tuesday, May 2. Grassfield will attempt to move on its 12-2 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 3-7 record after their 10-3 league loss to Indian River (Chesapeake, VA).
The Warriors now possess a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Deep Creek for a Southeastern battle on Tuesday, May 2. Nansemond River will play a Hornets squad coming off a 8-4 league loss to Hickory (Chesapeake, VA). The Hornets record now stands at 7-7.
