In Thursday's league challenge, the Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC) baseball squad the host Harnett Central Trojans (Angier, NC), by a final score of 8-4.

With the win, Triton upgrades its record to 18-3 on the season. The Hawks host E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC) to battle the Golden Bulls in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 1. The Golden Bulls come into the challenge with a record of 4-13. E.E. Smith lost 13-2 in their recent league challenge against Western Harnett (Lillington, NC)

With the defeat, Harnett Central falls to 9-12 on the season.
