Vermont High School Softball - Otter Valley holds off Fair Haven
April 27, 2024: Fair Haven, VT 05743 Otter Valley Otters (Brandon, VT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fair Haven Slaters (Fair Haven, VT), 5-3 in a league challenge.
The Otters now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bellows Falls for a SVL B challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Otter Valley will face a Terriers squad coming off a 16-1 non-league win over Leland & Gray (Townshend, VT). The Terriers record now stands at 3-2.
With the loss, Fair Haven falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Slaters host White River Valley (Royalton, VT) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. White River Valley won 19-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Woodstock (Woodstock, VT)
