The Chester Volcanoes softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Loyalton Grizzlies to 1 in the Volcanoes non-league win on Monday.

The Volcanoes now possess a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host CORE Butte for a Five Star battle on Tuesday, April 28. Chester will confront a Lynx team coming off a 25-3 league loss to Los Molinos (Los Molinos, CA). The Lynx record now stands at 0-15.

With the loss, Loyalton moves to 7-10 on the season. The Grizzlies travel to Hayfork (Hayfork, CA) to confront the Timberjacks in a Evergreen battle on Monday, May 4.
