The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the North Providence Cougars (North Providence, RI) and the host Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI), saw North Providence's baseball team gain a win over Ponaganset by a tally of 12-4.

The Cougars (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against Central (Providence, RI). The Knights enter the non-league battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Central was overwhelmed by Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI), 9-8, in a league battle.

Next, the Chieftains face the Burrillville Broncos (Harrisville, RI) in a Division 2 battle, on Tuesday, April 29. Ponaganset will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Broncos enter the battle with a 6-4 record after their 8-3 non-league loss to Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI).
