In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Taft Eagles volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Leyden Eagles.

The Eagles (18-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Chicago Washington (Chicago, IL). The Patriots enter the Chicago Public Gold challenge with a 7-6 record. In their last challenge, Chicago Washington beat Payton College Prep (Chicago, IL), 2-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Addison Trail Blazers (Addison, IL) in a West Suburban challenge, on Tuesday, April 29. Leyden will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Blazers enter the challenge with a 6-11 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to St. Charles East (St. Charles, IL).
