In Monday's non-league match, the host Elwood Panthers softball team scored a tight 14-9 win over the Tri-Central Trojans.

The Panthers (4-5) will now prepare for their match against Mississinewa (Gas City, IN). The Indians come into the Central Indiana match with a 6-2 record. In their last match, Mississinewa was routed by Lapel (Lapel, IN), 5-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Clinton Central Bulldogs (Michigantown, IN) in a Hoosier Heartland match, on Wednesday, April 30. Tri-Central will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 4-6 record after their 10-9 non-league loss to Faith Christian (Lafayette, IN).
