The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Northwest Mohawks (McDermott, OH) and the host Western Indians (Latham, OH), observed Northwest's softball team prevail over Western by a tally of 9-1.

The Mohawks (14-3) will now prepare for their test against Portsmouth West (West Portsmouth, OH). The Senators go into the non-league test with a 8-9 record. In their last test, Portsmouth West was routed by Wheelersburg (Wheelersburg, OH), 19-0, in a non-league test.
