The Rye Thunderbolts crushed the host Las Animas Trojans baseball team by a count of 13-0 in Saturday's league bout.

The Thunderbolts now possess a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monte Vista for a non-league bout on Tuesday, May 2. Rye will face a Pirates team coming off a 10-8 league win over Del Norte (Del Norte, CO). The Pirates record now stands at 12-5.

Next, the Trojans face the John Mall Panthers (Walsenburg, CO) in a 2A/1A Santa Fe bout, on Friday, May 5. Las Animas will attempt to move on its 6-10 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 0-13 record after their 22-0 league loss to Swink (Swink, CO).
