Illinois High School Softball - Washington bounces Morton
April 29, 2024: Morton, IL 61550 Washington Panthers (Washington, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Morton Potters (Morton, IL), 4-0 in a league challenge.
The Panthers now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pekin for a Mid-Illini challenge on Tuesday, April 30. Washington will face a Dragons squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Dunlap (Dunlap, IL). The Dragons record now stands at 10-7.
With the loss, Morton falls to 9-9 on the campaign. The Potters travel to Metamora (Metamora, IL) to face the Redbirds in a Mid-Illini challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Redbirds enter the challenge with a record of 17-4.
