Illinois High School Softball - Washington can't hold off Metamora
April 8, 2024: Metamora, IL 61548 The Metamora Redbirds softball team scored 2 runs and limited the visiting Washington Panthers to 1 in the Redbirds league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Metamora improves its record to 9-2 on the year. The Redbirds travel to Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL) to clash with the Braves in a non-league game on Wednesday, April 10. The Braves come into the game with a record of 13-0. Mt. Zion won 10-4 in their recent non-league game against Normal Community (Normal, IL)
In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Limestone Rockets (Bartonville, IL) in a Mid-Illini game, on Tuesday, April 9. Washington will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Rockets come into the game with a 4-2 record after their 9-1 league win over Canton (Canton, IL).
