In Tuesday's non-league game, the visiting Cedar Creek Pirates baseball team scored a close 9-7 win over the Buena Chiefs.

The Pirates (12-5) will now prepare for their game against Mainland Regional (Linwood, NJ). The Mustangs go into the non-league game with a 7-9 record. In their last game, Mainland Regional nudged Millville (Millville, NJ), 14-7, in a league game.

Next, the Chiefs play the Oakcrest Falcons (Mays Landing, NJ) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 6. Buena will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record.
