In Tuesday's league game, the host Richlands Blue Tornado baseball team scored a close 6-2 win over the Marion Scarlet Hurricanes.

The Blue Tornado (7-9) will now prepare for their game against Lebanon (Lebanon, VA). The Pioneers go into the Southwest game with a 11-3 record. In their last game, Lebanon nudged Tazewell (Tazewell, VA), 8-1, in a league game.

Next, the Scarlet Hurricanes play the Virginia High Bearcats (Bristol, VA) in a Southwest game, on Thursday, May 1. Marion will attempt to improve on its 3-10 season record. The Bearcats go into the game with a 7-4 record after their 7-1 league win over Graham (Bluefield, VA).
