The Bishop McNamara Mustangs got by the visiting Bishop Ireton Cardinals softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs meet the The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans (Kensington, MD) in a Washington Catholic game, on Wednesday, April 30. Bishop McNamara will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Tartans enter the game with a 2-8 record after their 15-9 non-league win over Madeira (McLean, VA).

The Cardinals now hold a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to St. Mary's Ryken for a Washington Catholic game on Wednesday, April 30. Bishop Ireton will play a Knights squad coming off a 6-2 league win over St. John's (Washington, DC). The Knights record now stands at 13-3.
