April 29, 2025: Boardman, OR 97818 Umatilla Vikings (Umatilla, OR) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Riverside Pirates (Boardman, OR), 14-7 in a league game.
With the triumph, Umatilla improves its record to 2-7 on the year. The Vikings travel to Union/Cove (Union, OR) to play the Bobcats in a non-league game on Friday, May 2. The Bobcats enter the game with a record of 6-3. Union/Cove lost 8-4 in their recent league game against Weston-McEwen/Griswold (Athena, OR)
The Pirates now hold a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Nyssa for a 3A Special District 2 game on Friday, May 2.
