The Neshoba Central Rockets softball squad scored 3 runs and restricted the visiting West Lauderdale Knights to 2 in the Rockets non-league victory on Monday.

The Rockets (17-2) will now prepare for their battle against Canton (Canton, MS). The Tigers go into the 5A Region 3 battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, Canton was edged by Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS), 16-1, in a league battle.

The Knights now possess a 17-4 record. They play next when they host Louisville for a 4A Region 4 battle on Tuesday, April 4. West Lauderdale will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 19-9 league loss to Leake Central (Carthage, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-6.
