The Metro Tech Knights triumphed over the host North Mustangs softball squad by a count of 22-9 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Knights meet the Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 9. Metro Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record.

The Mustangs (4-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Fairfax (Laveen, AZ). The Stampede enter the 5A Metro battle with a 6-6 record. In their last battle, Fairfax achieved victory over McClintock (Tempe, AZ), 5-4, in a league battle.
