Connecticut High School Softball - New Milford can't hold off Pomperaug
April 30, 2021: Southbury, CT 06488 The Pomperaug Panthers softball team scored 2 runs and limited the visiting New Milford Green Wave to 1 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Pomperaug improves its record to 5-2 on the year. The Panthers host Kolbe-Cathedral (Bridgeport, CT) to clash with the Cougars in a Southwest - Patriot game on Saturday, May 1. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 0-7. Kolbe-Cathedral lost 17-4 in their recent league game against Joel Barlow (Redding, CT)
In their next game, the Green Wave clash with the Bethel Wildcats (Bethel, CT) in a Southwest - Patriot game, on Monday, May 3. New Milford will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the game with a 4-6 record after their 13-2 league win over Bunnell (Stratford, CT).
