The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Payson Lions (Payson, UT) and the host Wasatch Wasps (Heber City, UT), saw Payson's baseball team beat Wasatch by a margin of 9-5.

The Lions (14-8) will now prepare for their battle against Spanish Fork (Spanish Fork, UT). The Dons enter the 5A Region 7 battle with a 20-3 record. In their last battle, Spanish Fork held off Salem Hills (Salem, UT), 12-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Wasps face the Maple Mountain Eagles (Spanish Fork, UT) in a 5A Region 7 battle, on Friday, May 1. Wasatch will attempt to improve on its 15-8 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 18-5 record after their 3-2 league win over Pleasant Grove (Pleasant Grove, UT).
