Alabama High School Softball - South Lamar holds off Fayette County
April 4, 2024: Millport, AL 35576 South Lamar Stallions (Millport, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Fayette County Tigers (Fayette, AL), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Stallions now own a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hale County for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 5. South Lamar will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 17-6 non-league win over Sipsey Valley (Buhl, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-15.
With the loss, Fayette County falls to 10-11 on the campaign. The Tigers host Northridge (Tuscaloosa, AL) to battle the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 5. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 7-13.
