The Venture Academy Mustangs softball team scored 6 runs and held the host River Islands Riptide to 0 in the Mustangs league win on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ben Holt College Prep Academy for a Central California Athletic Alliance battle on Monday, April 7. Venture Academy will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 8-3 non-league loss to Tokay (Lodi, CA). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, River Islands moves to 1-4 on the season. The Riptide host Aspire Langston Hughes Academy (Stockton, CA) to confront the Titans in a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 9.
