Arizona High School Softball - Valley knocked off by Hopi
April 7, 2023: Sanders, AZ 86512 In Friday's league contest, the Hopi Bruins (Keams Canyon, AZ) softball team overwhelmed the host Valley Pirates (Sanders, AZ), by a margin of 25-15.
With the triumph, Hopi moves its record to 3-6 on the year. The Bruins host Red Mesa (Teec Nos Pos, AZ) to play the Redskins in a non-league contest on Monday, April 10. The Redskins come into the contest with a record of 2-6. Red Mesa lost 12-5 in their recent non-league contest against Ash Fork (Ash Fork, AZ)
In their next game, the Pirates play the Greyhills Academy Fightin' Knights (Tuba City, AZ) in a 2A North contest, on Thursday, April 13. Valley will attempt to move on its 1-9 season record. The Fightin' Knights come into the contest with a 0-6 record after their 16-4 league loss to Pinon (Pinon, AZ).
