Grafton Bearcats (Grafton, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), 17-2 in a league challenge.

The Bearcats now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Marion for a Big Ten challenge on Monday, April 10. Grafton will battle a Huskies squad coming off a 13-2 non-league loss to Hedgesville (Hedgesville, WV). The Huskies record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Preston falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Knights host Fairmont Senior (Fairmont, WV) to battle the Polar Bears in a Big Ten challenge on Saturday, April 8. The Polar Bears enter the challenge with a record of 2-8. Fairmont Senior lost 12-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV)
