Tennessee High School Softball - Dyer County gets by South Gibson
April 9, 2024: Medina, TN 38355 The Dyer County Choctaws (Newbern, TN) softball nipped the host South Gibson Hornets (Medina, TN), 2-1 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Choctaws (19-9) will now prepare for their bout against Obion County (Troy, TN). The Rebels go into the 3A District 13 bout with a 5-6 record. In their last bout, Obion County held off South Fulton (South Fulton, TN), 7-0, in a non-league bout.
The Hornets now possess a 10-5 record. They play next when they travel to Huntingdon for a non-league bout on Thursday, April 11. South Gibson will confront a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Riverside (Decaturville, TN). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-2.
