Connecticut High School Softball - Housatonic-Wamogo nudges Northwestern Regional
April 9, 2024: Falls Village, CT 06031 Housatonic-Wamogo Mountaineers (Falls Village, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northwestern Regional Highlanders (Winsted, CT), 18-17 in a non-league challenge.
The Mountaineers now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Gilbert for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. Housatonic-Wamogo will face a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 10-3 league loss to Northwestern Regional (Winsted, CT). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, Northwestern Regional falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Terryville (Terryville, CT) to face the Kangaroos in a Berkshire challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Kangaroos enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Terryville lost 23-2 in their recent league challenge against Shepaug Valley (Washington, CT)
