Maryland High School Softball - Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North bounces Surrattsville
May 1, 2024: Clinton, MD 20735 The Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Tigers (Laurel, MD) softball routed the host Surrattsville Hornets (Clinton, MD), 18-6 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Tigers (16-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Central (Capitol Heights, MD). The Falcons enter the non-league challenge with a 1-13 record. In their last challenge, Central was routed by Oxon Hill (Oxon Hill, MD), 24-0, in a league challenge.
With the loss, Surrattsville falls to 7-7 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Fairmont Heights (Capitol Heights, MD) to battle the Hornets in a Prince George's County 3A/2A challenge on Friday, May 3. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 5-6. Fairmont Heights won 10-2 in their recent league challenge against Largo (Upper Marlboro, MD)
