Vermont High School Softball - West Rutland bounces Poultney
May 1, 2024: Poultney, VT 05764 West Rutland Golden Horde (West Rutland, VT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Poultney Blue Devils (Poultney, VT), 12-0 in a league challenge.
The Golden Horde now sport a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Long Trail for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. West Rutland will face a squad coming off a 18-14 league win over Mill River (North Clarendon, VT). The record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Poultney falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Blue devils host White River Valley (Royalton, VT) to face the Wildcats in a SVL C challenge on Saturday, May 4. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-4. White River Valley lost 25-13 in their recent non-league challenge against Randolph (Randolph, VT)
