Illinois High School Baseball - Plainfield East defeats Joliet Central
May 1, 2025: Plainfield, IL 60585 In Thursday's league game, the host Plainfield East Bengals baseball team scored a close 11-4 win over the Joliet Central Steelmen.
The Bengals (7-16) will now prepare for their game against Plainfield South (Plainfield, IL). The Cougars go into the Southwest Prairie game with a 7-14 record. In their last game, Plainfield South nudged Joliet West (Joliet, IL), 7-3, in a league game.
Next, the Steelmen play the Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves (Lansing, IL) in a non-league game, on Saturday, May 3. Joliet Central will attempt to improve on its 4-19 season record. The Red Wolves go into the game with a 5-17 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Whiting (Whiting, IN).
