New York High School Softball - Franklin Academy bounces Salmon River
May 10, 2023: Malone, NY 12953 Franklin Academy Huskies (Malone, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Salmon River Shamrocks (Fort Covington, NY), 20-5 in a league challenge.
The Huskies now sport a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Massena for a Section 10 Central challenge on Tuesday, May 16. Franklin Academy will face a Red Raiders squad coming off a 8-2 league loss to St. Lawrence Central (Brasher Falls, NY). The Red Raiders record now stands at 6-7.
With the loss, Salmon River falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Shamrocks host St. Lawrence Central (Brasher Falls, NY) to face the Larries in a Section 10 Central challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Larries enter the challenge with a record of 5-5. St. Lawrence Central won 13-2 in their recent league challenge against Ogdensburg Free Academy (Ogdensburg, NY)
