New York High School Softball - Salmon River loses to Canton
May 16, 2023: Fort Covington, NY 12937 The Canton Golden Bears softball squad scored 23 runs and restricted the host Salmon River Shamrocks to 5 in the Golden Bears league victory on Tuesday.
The Golden Bears (14-1) will now prepare for their bout against Ogdensburg Free Academy (Ogdensburg, NY). The Blue Devils go into the Section 10 Central bout with a 4-9 record. In their last bout, Ogdensburg Free Academy was routed by Gouverneur (Gouverneur, NY), 14-3, in a league bout.
The Shamrocks now possess a 1-11 record. They play next when they host Potsdam for a Section 10 Central bout on Thursday, May 18. Salmon River will confront a Sandstoners squad coming off a 19-2 league loss to St. Lawrence Central (Brasher Falls, NY). The Sandstoners record now stands at 0-11.
