New York High School Softball - Plattsburgh holds off Beekmantown
May 12, 2022: Plattsburgh, NY 12901 Plattsburgh Hornets (Plattsburgh, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Beekmantown Eagles (Plattsburgh, NY), 6-4 in a league challenge.
The Hornets now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Saranac for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Tuesday, May 17. Plattsburgh will face a Chiefs squad coming off a 7-2 league win over Northeastern Clinton (Champlain, NY). The Chiefs record now stands at 10-6.
With the loss, Beekmantown falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Peru (Peru, NY) to face the Nighthawks in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I challenge on Monday, May 16. The Nighthawks enter the challenge with a record of 7-4. Peru won 8-4 in their recent league challenge against Northeastern Clinton (Champlain, NY)
