New York High School Softball - Plattsburgh bounces Northeastern Clinton
May 9, 2022: Champlain, NY 12919 The Plattsburgh Hornets routed the host Northeastern Clinton Cougars softball squad by a final score of 10-2 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Hornets (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Moriah (Port Henry, NY). The Vikings go into the Section 7 Champlain Valley I battle with a 0-8 record. In their last battle, Moriah was routed by Northern Adirondack (Ellenburg Depot, NY), 14-3, in a league battle.
The Cougars now possess a 1-8 record. They play next when they host Peru for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I battle on Wednesday, May 11. Northeastern Clinton will battle a Nighthawks team coming off a 3-0 league win over Saranac (Saranac, NY). The Nighthawks record now stands at 5-4.
