The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN) and the host Liberty Christian Lions (Anderson, IN), saw Monroe Central's softball squad achieve victory over Liberty Christian by a count of 14-6.

The Golden Bears now sport a 5-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Winchester Community for a non-league match on Friday, May 13. Monroe Central will face a Golden Falcons squad coming off a 13-5 league loss to Centerville (Centerville, IN). The Golden Falcons record now stands at 4-10.

With the loss, Liberty Christian falls to 5-9 on the campaign. The Lions host Southern Wells (Poneto, IN) to face the Raiders in a non-league match on Saturday, May 14. The Raiders enter the match with a record of 4-15. Southern Wells lost 15-2 in their recent league match against Woodlan (Woodburn, IN)
